Hi, everyone! It’s a rare occasion that all three of us can get away, but this month we spent three glorious and sunny days together in Paris. We took a peek at next season’s collections—it was Paris Fashion Week after all—but we also had other things on our minds, like visiting some of our favorite small boutiques, designers and restaurants. We did some antiquing and vintage shopping in the marchés aux puces in Saint-Ouen and all around town, where we scooped up some beautiful pendant necklaces and silk scarves for the trunk show we’re hosting in NYC this week for the London-based brand With Nothing Underneath, makers of some of our favorite shirts, knits and sets at the moment (please join us on the 18th if you are in the city!).

Everyone was crazy for the Chanel, Tom Ford, Dior and Celine shows (we concur), and we loved seeing the ridiculously beautiful Hermès and Schiaparelli collections up close (be prepared for fabulous suspendered jodhpurs and a trompe-l’oeil sweater featuring a brass escargot). We paid a visit to Margherita Cardelli Cavaliere, the eternally stylish owner of Giuliva Heritage to see the Fall 2026 collection and decided her gamine vests and silky sets are all we want to wear come autumn. We also talked a lot about what we like wearing when we’re working and walking all over an elegant city—so we’ve included some snaps (and links) of the pieces we wore on repeat, too.

Most of all, we loved staying in the 6th arrondissement on the quiet Left Bank in our small jewel box of a hotel. Over lunch, a Parisian friend told us Lauren Bacall always stayed there which makes perfect sense: it is graceful and timeless in a way that largely doesn’t exist anymore.

In a world that’s increasingly dominated by chains of all kinds (hotels, restaurants, boutiques) independence and originality are what we appreciate most. Paris still has both in spades. We hope you enjoy our trip notes and are perhaps inspired to take your own sojourn this spring. The time is always now when it comes to Paris.
